NutriBasket: B2B & B2C Grocery & Food Delivery Ecosystem

Designed and developed NutriBasket —a state-of-the-art B2B and B2C grocery & food delivery ecosystem. Problem :

Modern multi-vendor e-commerce platforms struggle to meet the operational demands of simultaneous B2C retail and B2B enterprise delivery. Standard platforms lack support for contract-based client pricing, suffer from immediate stock-locking errors (which holds inventory for orders that get canceled or rejected before approval), and lack coordination on the packaging floor. This causes inventory deficits, incorrect billing, and delivery friction when out-of-stock items are discovered only after the driver arrives.


Solution :

We engineered NutriBasket—a unified monorepo ecosystem featuring a robust Laravel PHP API backend and four specialized Flutter mobile applications: Customer, Vendor, Packager, and Delivery. To bridge the gap, we introduced a dedicated "Packager" application role to audit, adjust quantities, and generate B2B PDF invoices right at the hub. Additionally, we developed a Python automation pipeline that parses high-volume enterprise customer contract spreadsheets and maps them directly into Laravel database templates, enabling custom pricing dynamically at checkout.


Challenge :

The primary challenges lay in managing real-time inventory adjustments and complex hardware integrations. If an item went out of stock during packaging, standard systems failed; we resolved this by designing a "Delayed Stock Deduction Flow" (stock is only deducted after vendor acceptance) and building a "Smart UI Warning system" in the customer app to display packager-modified subtotals. Furthermore, we integrated thermal Bluetooth ESC/POS receipt printing directly into the Vendor POS application and utilized Firebase cloud messaging for real-time order handovers.


Summary :

NutriBasket represents a complete digital transformation for high-volume B2B and B2C logistics. By combining cross-platform Flutter clients, a centralized admin backend, and Python-driven automation, the platform successfully automates corporate billing, prevents inventory locks, monitors inventory deficits, and provides delivery agents with live tracking to streamline the entire last-mile supply chain.
